Meeting Your Customer Face-to-Face
How can Facebook help you re-create the power of a face-to-face moment?

Having an online business means you’ll need to put some extra effort into staying connected with your customers. There are lots of ways to do so, but for the most part, face-to-face is not really an option anymore. That golden moment where you can shake hands, exchange a smile, and welcome a customer into your store is not available if your business is purely online. Or is it?

In fact, the medium has changed but the opportunity is still there. The ‘social internet’ enables companies to once again show a friendly face to their customers and enhance the shopping experience. Small businesses especially can use this to gain an advantage over the larger, anonymous e-commerce giants.

Facebook is an excellent platform for you to reconnect with your customers, chat about business passions and common interests and recommend your favorite new products. Think of it like a virtual brick-and-mortar location. Not only does this opportunity help you get you that first sale, but the enjoyment of it will keep your customers coming back for more.

Therefore, getting your customers to ‘like’ your Facebook page is an important goal because it also builds a strong channel for retention marketing. So how can you get them to notice your page, when so many companies out there are begging for “likes” and the competition for your customers attention is high?

The best way to get started is by having a clever caption, or call-to-action (CTA), paired with the Facebook icon on your business webpage. Don’t just ask for a “like,” show some pizazz and ask your customers to join the fun!

To help you get started we’ve shared an example of one of our customers, The Secret Ingredient, who is really doing it right, and we’ve also brainstormed 54 more CTA’s for all different kinds of verticals! Feel free to take and use whichever ones you want.

Using a clever caption on your website to draw more people toward your Facebook page and will get you more friends and followers. Once that is achieved, it’s up to you to make sure that they can find awesome, engaging content that will keep them coming back.

Do you need a call-to-action or caption for a vertical that we missed? Let us know in the comments area below and we’d be happy to think of more ideas for you!
